Pruitt holds Osovet in 'high regard'

KNOXVILLE — Tennessee ended a 44-day coaching search by hiring Jim Chaney as offensive coordinator.

Tennessee’s coaching staff could still see changes as other schools and NFL teams are filling staff voids this offseason.

If there are any staff changes, Vols Wire was told Thursday that Jeremy Pruitt holds UT Player Development analyst Joe Osovet in high regard.

“Pruitt holds Osovet in high regard as the only other coach with college head coaching experience and as a recruiter,” Vols Wire learned. “He will be getting on the field, just a matter of movement with other assistants.”

Osovet served as head coach at Nassau C.C. from 2013-15 before taking the head coaching position at ASA College from 2016-17 and is the innovator of the RPO.
