Tennessee stays at No. 3 in AP Poll for fifth-straight week

KNOXVILLE — This Tennessee team may be the best in college basketball, but for the fifth-straight week, the Associated Press poll hasn’t thought so.

There is good reason for that, as No. 1 Duke (12-1) and No. 2 Michigan (15-0) continue to win, and win big through the first 10 weeks of the season. As a result, there hasn’t been much change in the top 4 of the major polls.

The Vols (12-1, 1-0 SEC) dominated Georgia on Saturday, en rote to a convincing 96-50 win over the Bulldogs in their SEC opener.

Tennessee will look to continue to make their case on Tuesday when they travel to Columbia, Mo., to take on Missouri (9-3) at Mizzou Arena.
