Vols stay at No. 3 in AP poll following win over Memphis

KNOXVILLE — There were no signs of let down from Tennessee when they took on Memphis at FedEx Forum.

Following the Vols big win over then-No. 1 Gonzaga less than a week before, Tennessee renewed their rivalry with the in-state Tigers for the first time since 2013, and left Memphis with a 102-92 win to improve to 8-1 on the season.

After jumping into the top 5 after the Gonzaga win, the Vols remained at No. 3 overall in the Associated Press Poll on Monday.

Tennessee will face Samford (9-2) Wednesday and Wake Forest (5-3) on Saturday at Thompson-Boling Arena.
