Pruitt details Chryst’s performance vs. Missouri

KNOXVILLE – Missouri (7-4, 3-4 SEC) defeated Tennessee (5-6, 2-5 SEC), 50-17 in Week 12.

Keller Chryst replaced Jarrett Guarantano in the first half due to an injury that Jeremy Pruitt did not disclose postgame since he had yet talked to doctors.

Chryst completed seven passes in 19 attempts for 173 yards. The Stanford graduate transfer threw two interceptions and zero touchdowns on Senior Day.

After the game, Pruitt discussed Chryst’s performance against Missouri.

“We turned the ball over a couple times, he made some good throws,” Pruitt said. “Keller is a hard worker. He’s been great for our program, our kids love him. He’s a good leader, and he’s got some experience. I know there are a few throws he’d like to have back, but he did a good job moving the ball.

“He’s got toughness, but there were a couple plays there where we turned the ball over that probably hurt us a little more – and if it wasn’t for those plays, he probably did a good job.”
