KNOXVILLE — The Early Signing Period is approaching and will kickoff Dec. 19 and conclude Dec. 21.

With two games remaining in the regular season and Tennessee set to host Missouri for the final home game, Jeremy Pruitt discussed how he handles recruits taking visits on gameday.

“One thing that I’m quick to tell recruits is, on gameday, we’re going to devote our time to our players,” Pruitt said on “Vol Calls” ahead of the Missouri game.

Pruitt’s top priority on gameday is the task-at-hand of preparation and winning football games with his current players.

“They’re here, where our sole focus is to win football games,” Pruitt said of his players. “To do that, you need to recruit good players, but you need to help prepare your players. Part of the recruiting pitch is, ‘Hey, when you become a player at Tennessee, we’re going to do everything we can to help you have success on gameday.’ We’ll recruit when the games are over with.”
