Jordan Davis commits to Tennessee

Jordan Davis has committed to Tennessee for the 2020 class.

The 6-foot-5, 238-pound defensive lineman committed to Alabama on Oct. 6 and decommitted on Nov. 3.

Davis is currently playing at Copiah-Lincoln C.C. in Wesson, Miss., and is from Memphis.

Copiah-Lincoln C.C. head coach Glenn Davis discussed where Davis could potentially play with Vols Wire.

“We run 3 down and 4 down fronts,” Davis said. “He possibly could be an outside linebacker on 3 down looks. He has a ton of potential.”

Copiah-Lincoln C.C. defensive coordinator and defensive line coach William Jones also discussed Davis’ Tennessee commitment after his recent decommitment from Alabama.

Jones told Vols Wire that “Nick Saban does not sign many duds, particularly on the defensive line.”

Jones also discussed Davis’ talent and areas that he will need to improve on to become the player that he is capable of being.

“He has NFL first-round talent,” he said. “He is a little raw as a player, still got a lot to learn. Practicing with more focus and intensity will correlate to game-play and production.”
