HOOVER — Before earning an opportunity to coach at the SEC level as Director of Player Development at Alabama in 2007, Jeremy Pruitt coached with the spotlight on him at Hoover High School.

Pruitt served as defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach at Hoover (2004-06) when the high school football program was showcased on MTV’s reality show, ‘Two-A-Days’.

One of the main Hoover players that played a big role on the show was linebacker Alex Binder. Binder has been following the Tennessee football program closely since his former coach, Pruitt, was named head coach. Other former Hoover coaches, players and administrators that are currently at Tennessee are Kevin Sherrer, Todd Watson, Brandon Sheppard, Danny Stiff, and Myra Miles.

Binder was in Knoxville for the weekend of the Tennessee and Florida game and discussed the UT program on the Vols Wire podcast.
