KNOXVILLE — Tennessee head coach Jeremy Pruitt took part in the weekly call-in radio show ‘Vol Calls’ ahead of the Auburn game.

Pruitt was asked if senior graduate transfer quarterback Keller Chryst would be getting more playing time going forward.

“Keller, he’s done really well since he’s been here,” Pruitt said. “I’ve actually noticed in the last couple of weeks he’s improving at practice. He’s gaining confidence.”

Chryst has appeared in all five games for the Vols this season and has completed seven passes in 13 attempts, throwing for 113 yards and one touchdown.

“When he’s played, he’s played well when he’s had opportunities,” Pruitt said.

Chryst was 11-2 as a starting quarterback at Stanford before being injured.
