Pruitt: ‘Guys are coming out of their shell’

ATHENS – Following the loss at Georgia, Tennessee now heads into an off week.

Part of the off week will be a continuation of focusing on Tennessee and becoming better.

“We’ve said all along we’ve been trying to fix Tennessee,” Jeremy Pruitt said following the Georgia game. “So we’re not going to change that.”

Focusing on details of becoming better on the field and off the field, academically, are areas of importance this week.

“We’re going to go back this next week and we’re going to work really hard academically,” Pruitt said. “It’s getting close to midterms and we need to have a good run academically, and we’re going to go work on the football field.

“I think our guys will be ready to do that. There’s starting to be a little bit of leadership muster among some of the group. Guys are coming out of their shell. I think we’re headed in the right direction.”
