KNOXVILLE – Jeremy Pruitt was asked about the offensive line during his weekly radio show, Vol Calls.

Pruitt mentioned that Chance Hall was getting close to being able to play a full game after playing some in the first two games of the season. Hall has been battling injuries since 2016 after starting seven games as a freshman in 2015.

Before Vol Calls, Pruitt met with media for the final time ahead of the UTEP game and also discussed the 6-foot-4, 315-pound offensive lineman.

“For a guy who hasn’t played ball in a couple of years, Chance is extremely smart,” he said. “He can play multiple positions because he knows what to do and how to do it. He can’t go out and practice every snap every day. He is still working his way back and building up his stamina.

“We have been careful with him because we need him on our football team. He continues to improve. I think he has really good toughness and has instincts as an offensive lineman. We are trying to slowly get him in there. The loss of Brandon Kennedy probably helped open a door for Chance. I think he has done a good job. He will continue to improve the longer he plays.”
