Tyus Fields: 'Coach Pruitt is a defensive guy, so it all worked out'

Tennessee held their Rocky Top Cookout July 28 and received their latest commitment for the 2019 class.

Cornerback Tyus Fields of William Amos Hough High School in Cornelius, N.C., became the 17th verbal commitment for Jeremy Pruitt’s 2019 class.

The 5-foot-10, 180-pound defensive back visited Tennessee April 21 and holds Power 5 offers from Clemson, North Carolina State, Penn State, Florida State, Kansas State, Maryland, North Carolina, Ohio State, Syracuse, and Wisconsin.

Fields told Vols Wire that “Tennessee just felt like the right fit for me and I like Coach Pruitt, he is a defensive guy, so it all worked out.”
